je prāṇiyā kāmīṃ bharu |
dehācivarī ādaru |
mhaṇoni paḍilā visaru |
ātmabodhācā ||
Because living beings are filled with desire / and attach great importance to the physical body, / therefore the spiritual awakening of the Self / has fallen into oblivion."
