Of the two spoken of as good and bad,
the people of the world seek only the good; therefore I too sought likewise.
Even though I sought it, without saying "not today", if your sacred heart softens
and bestows grace, this poor wretch will be redeemed; this is the true word;
Is there anything your heart does not know?
O Virgin who gave birth to Kumāradeva, who dwells on all the hills and ever blesses devotees!
Emerald-hued One! Vimalī! Bhairavī! King of Mountains' daughter alive with grace!
Where winged bees hum in orchards overflowing with fragrance,
O Vāmī abiding in prosperous Tirukkaṭavūr! Śubanemi! Pugazhnāmi!
Vāmī who delights Śivasāmi! Umai Apirāmi!
