Praising the heroine — eḻucīrkkaliyeṭil āciriyaviruttam.
“O charioteer driving the chariot
upon the fair mount of Aruṇai of the Lord with the laburnum garland!
Reaching the town, I shall speak of the army of the lord of spring
that has risen in the street:
fresh bows and two curving bows, discharging cruel arrows beside,
from which battle never ceases;
a musth elephant with newly risen tusks,
along with a pair of plantain stalks, is coming!”
