“O one who made the golden mountain his bow, holy one of Cōṇagiri, Death to Kāla!
Like the great Māyaṉ who respects [you],
who else on earth is your equal? When you were not angry with them,
was it just that you became a tall peak of blazing flame?
Who is the pond of fragrant lotuses? Who is the horse for the sage who raged against the cities?
Who is the broad banner? Therefore,
who is the bull that climbs and carries [you] to every door as you beg?
Who is the goddess dwelling on your left side?”
