ولما بلغ السلطان خبر خروجي عن الدنيا استدعاني، وهو يومئذ بسيوستان ، فدخلت عليه في زي الفقراء، فكلمني أحسن كلام وألطفه، وأراد مني الرجوع إلى الخدمة فأبيت وطلبت منه الإذن في السفر إلى الحجاز، فأذن لي فيه وانصرفت عنه، ونزلت بزاوية

When the news of my renouncing the world reached the Sultan, he summoned me; he was then at Sīwasitān. I came before him in the dress of the poor, and he spoke to me most kindly and graciously and wanted me to return to service, but I refused and asked his permission to travel to the Ḥijāz. He granted it, and I left him and stayed at a hospice
