وفتح الله تلك المملكة على السلطان فتحا ثانيا، وملكا تاليا ، فلم يسمع على الأيام، بمثله فتحا في غلق الظلام. واستقامت هيبة السلطان في أهل سجستان، حتى نامت لياليهم عن دبيب العقارب، وصرير الجنادب . وأنشدني بعض أهل العصر على تفيئة النصر:

God opened that kingdom to the Sultan a second conquest and a following dominion; never in all time was such a conquest heard of in the closing of darkness. The Sultan's awe became firmly established among the people of Sijistān, so that their nights slept undisturbed by the creeping of scorpions and the chirping of crickets.
