وآن قراضه از دست سفگندم ، درین خاک افتاذم ؛ هرچند بخستم ، باز نیافتم ، کی مقر خلایق ، وممر علایق بوذ؛ خاک آن موضع جمع کردم ، وباخوذ آوردم ، تا بغربال کنم ، باشذ کی زر باز یابم ، واز بهر و پرنج خرم .

and I dropped that small coin from my hand, falling into this dirt; however much I searched, I did not
find it again, for it was the thoroughfare of creatures and the passage of travelers. I gathered up the dirt of that spot
and brought it with me so that I might sieve it, perchance I might recover the gold and buy rice for you."
