هم باز خورذ بتو بلائی آخر وندر تو رسذ زمن دعائی آخر درد دل من چنین ممانذ پهان سر برکنذ این درد بجائی آخر پس خردهآ عشق را درمیان نهاذ ، واز مضمون دل ، ومکنون سر خبر داذ ، وبدست معتمدی بمعشوقه فرستاذ چون رقعه بزن رسیذ ، ومطلع ومقطع آن بدذ ، گفت : این جوان را بگوئیذ ، تا نیز این سخن نهذ ونه بر دارذ ، ومارا چون زنان دیگر نبندارذ ، وبیش سخن بی فائده نگویذ ، ونابوذه نحویذ ، وگوز پوذه نشکنذ ، وبتک بر آهن سرد نزنذ، از بهر آنک :

A calamity shall also strike you in the end, / and a prayer from me shall reach you in the end.
The pain of my heart will not remain hidden like this; / this pain will raise its head somewhere in the end.
Then he laid out the subtle points of love, gave report of the heart’s contents and the secret’s hidden depths,
and sent it to the beloved by the hand of a trustworthy messenger.
When the letter reached the woman, and she saw its opening and close, she said, “Tell this youth
to drop this talk and cease it altogether, and not to consider us like other women,
and to speak no more futile words, nor chew unparched grain, nor crack hollow walnuts,
nor strike a cold iron with a hammer; because:
