اگر شمایل حلمش ساذ برگذرذ دهذ شکوه تحلیش باذرا لنگر وگر فضایل طبعش بکوه برشمرید سک زخاصیتش کوه را بر آیذ پر مخالطت با حکمای فاضل وبدمای کامل داشت ، واتام واوقات با عقلای عالم وفضلای بی آدم گذاشت ، شهوات وهمات را طلاق داذه بوذ، ومحظورات ومحرمات را اطلاق فرموذه ، ساعات عمر بر استیفای خبرات مقصور کرده ، واوقات ایام بر استعمال حسنات موقوف گردانیذه ، وبیقین صادق واثق شذه کی متاع دنیا غرورست ومزخرفات ومموهات او خیال ناپای دار ، وعقل حاذق در گوش هوش او گفته :

"If the qualities of his forbearance pass over the wind, / the majesty of his composure gives the wind an anchor;
And if one recounts the merits of his nature to a mountain, / from its power wings sprout upon the mountain."
He kept company with learned sages and accomplished scholars, and spent his days and hours with the intellectuals of the world
and the distinguished men among the children of Adam. He had divorced desires and base concerns, had forbidden
prohibited and unlawful things, had restricted the hours of his life to fulfilling good works,
and had dedicated the times of his days to practicing virtues. He was assured with sincere certainty
that the goods of the world are a deception, and its embellishments and false vanities a transitory illusion; and keen intellect
whispered in his attentive ear:
