Aiśānyāṁ pachana-sthānaṁ brāhmaṇānāṁ vidhīyate ।
And of the Kshatriyas to the south-east, of the Vaiśyas to the south-west, and of the Śūdras to the north-west (v. 177-178).
Pūrvasyāṁ bhojana-sthānam āgneyyāṁ tu mahānasam ।
Yāmyāyāṁ śayana-sthānaṁ nairṛityāṁ āyudhālayaḥ ॥ 179
Maitra-sthānaṁ tu tatra tatra vāruṇyām udakālayaḥ ।
Goshṭhāgāraṁ cha vāyavyām uttarasyāṁ dhanālayaḥ ॥ 180
