Three types :
Mūla-berodayam śreshṭha(ṁ) tri-pādaṁ madhyamaṁ bhavet ।
Tuṅgārdhaṁ kanyasaṁ proktaṁ tri-vidhaṁ chotsavodayam ।
(M. LV. 35-36).
Berotsedha-samaṁ śreshṭhaṁ karṇāntaṁ madhyamaṁ bhavet ।
Bāhvantaṁ kanyasaṁ proktaṁ utsavaṁ vṛishabhodayam ।
(M. LXII. 10-11).
