⁴ Ibid. V. 11. 6, (Translation, page 97); the rendering of the term 'ogumpheti' which also occurs in *Mahāvagga*, V. 11, by 'skins' seems doubtful and unsuitable. Buddhaghosa in his note at the latter place says अगुम्फियत्तोति भित्ति-दण्डादिसु वेठेत्वा बन्धाति।
