¹ *Chullavagga*, V, 11, 6 (Translation, p. 97); the rendering of the term *āgumpheti*, which also occurs in *Mahāvagga*, V, 11, by 'skins' seems doubtful and unsuitable. Buddhaghosa in his note at the latter place says अगुम्वियन्तीति भित्ति दण्डकादिसु वेठेत्वा बन्धाति ।
