The most interesting of the Hindu temples of this group of the first half of the eighth century is the Das Avatar the walls of which have been elaborately sculptured. This temple contains an inscription which suggests that it was probably completed during the reign of Dantidurga Rashtrakuta who conquered the Chalukyans about the middle of the eight century.
