But fortunately, the lack of sufficient details about the fort architecture is compensated by the discovery of the Harappan fortification walls (Fig. 4 and Fig. 5) in the sites at Harappā (Mete, M.S., 1970, pp. 75-84), Kālibangan, (Lal, B.B. and Thapar, B.K., 1967, p. 20), Surkotda (IA<ins>R</ins>, 1970-71, p. 13 and 1971-72, p. 13, Fig. 2) etc. We fairly get thereat actual picture of the fortification walls.
