v1.c4.s2.26
Svarṇakāra became outcasted and unholy on account of the curse pronounced against him by a Brāhmaṇa whose gold he had stolen. Sūtradhāra neglected to carry out the orders of a Brāhmaṇa to collect fuel for sacrificial purposes, and being cursed by him, was likewise degraded. Citrakāra transgressed the orders of a Brāhmaṇa in respect of a picture the composition of which was defective and not according to the rules and underwent the same fate.
