v2.c13.s1.20
The first temple of this family is itself called Valabhī. Valabhī denotes a pitched roof having a ridge (pṛṣṭha). Its slopes are on its four sides—it is a hipped roof—or on two sides only. On the ridge, three Āmalasārakas are placed. Attic rooms (garbha) or dormer windows (candraśālā) are on either side of the ridge.
