v2.c16.66

The Linga itself is composed of two parts, the nut and the shaft of the *membrum virile*, each of them shaped exactly like the original model, in a state of erection. On Pl. II are given the front, the side and the back views of the Linga, a reference to which will enable the reader to form an excellent idea of the exactitude with which the sculptor has modelled this Linga in imitation of the human *phallus*. The longitudinal facets on the erect organ (*ūrddhava-rētas*) are also represented in this Linga.
