The subjoined fragmentary Sanskrit inscription occurs on the pilaster at the left end of the veranda in Cave XX. It has been edited by Bhagwanlal Indraji and James Burgess.¹ The inscription has suffered further damage since their time, as a comparison between the facsimile published here and the one published in the *A.S.W.I.*, vol. iv, will show.
