1. The second letter is too badly damaged to be copied; but appears to be *vi* as seen *in situ*.
2. *kuvirā* construed as *kuviraṉ* + *ā* 'of Kuviraṉ'. The PNG suffix *-aṉ* is elided when the genitive suffix *-ā* is added. See section 7.16.6.
3. KVS reads the inscription *koṭupiṉāṉ*.
