**b.** ***kāṭa*** (*kāṭṭa*) 'of the *kāṭu*' (n.) 'forest, jungle' (D. 1438). *kāṭu* when suffixed to place names generally refers to 'uncultivated land' as distinguished from *nāṭu* 'cultivated land'. Cf. ***erukāṭu-ūru*** (**52.1**).
