⁷ Ep. Ind., Vol. XXXI, pp. 65-66, text lines 31-32. Sometimes we have bhṛtyāya for vṛttāya and chatrī for sukhī and the following half verse preceding the stanza : Santarpayati dātāraṃ bhūmeḥ prabhavatāṃ vara (ibid., Vol. XXV, pp. 218-19). The stanza is found in the Mahābhārata, XIII, 62, 29 (with mriyamāṇāya vṛtti-glānāya for kṛśa-vṛttāya vṛtti-kṣīṇāya and sattri bhavati mānavah, for which Hemādri has kliśyamānāya c=ātyartham vṛtti-glānāya). Cf. Mahābhārata, XIII, 59, 11.
