¹ Cf. *Kāśikā*, *prādhvaṁ kṛitvā śakaṭaṁ gataḥ*. . .The grammatical interest rotates round the *gati saṁjñā* of *prādhvaṁ* in the sense of 'fastening' and its absence in the latter case. The effect of *gati saṁjñā* is two-fold, *viz.* the compound and *lyap* suffix in *prādhvaṁ-kṛitya*.
