¹ ‘Śeḷuvai Kāvalan’ is unusual. Literally it would mean king of Śeḷuvai, a city, country or something like it. Śeḷiyan is a common name for Pāṇḍya. Though from the same root Śeḷuvai is unusual, perhaps not altogether un-understandable.
