⁴⁹ Bhillama II, grand-father of Bhillama III, who had issued the Kalas-Budruk plates in 1025 A.D., was probably a contemporary of Karka. He had married a daughter of Rāṣṭrakūṭa Jhanjha (E. I., XII, p. 212) who probably belonged to the Rāṣṭrakūṭa faction opposing Karka. Bhillama II, therefore, may have joined the confederacy to oust Karka.
