Cholas. Being informed of this, the Chola prince sent a herald with proposals of peace, offering [85] his daughter in marriage to Vikramâditya. These were accepted by the latter, and at the solicitations of the Chola he fell back on the Tuṅgabhadrâ, where the prince arrived with his daughter and concluded an alliance.⁴⁵
