We come now, chiefly through work done recently by Dr. Hultzsch, to some far more definite facts and dates. And first, from Pallava records obtained at Kûram, Kaśâkûdi, and Udayēndiram, and from the Western Chalukya record from Vakkalēri,⁴ we obtain the genealogy and synchronisms shewn in the table on the opposite page.⁵
