(iv) and (v) The Suāl Kuchi and Bargāon grants of Ratna Pāla. These were obtained by me in 1896 and 1897 and deciphered in the Journal for 1898, Part I, page 99, by Hœrnle, who attributed them to the first half of the eleventh century. The translation of the Bargāon grant, which is typical of the whole series, is given in Appendix C.
