v1.c9.123

A.D. 1626.—But the rebellion of the Prince Shah Jehan again called off the attention of the imperial troops, and Mullik Umber, before his death, which happened in the beginning of 1626, once more triumphed in the Deccan. Ibrahim Adil Shah of Beejapoor did not survive Mullik Umber above a year. The memory of both is still preserved with much respect in the legends of the countries where they ruled. The mausoleum of the latter ¹ still stands, the most perfect and the most beautiful of the many buildings which remain among the ruins of Beejapoor, to attest its former grandeur and the magnificence of its nobles and kings.
