When and in what manner Kashlu Khan's rebellion was terminated can never be known satisfactorily, for Minhaj's account closes abruptly. Isami speaks of an expedition to Multan led by Balban against Kashlu Khan (called by his nickname of Balban-i-zar) some years after 656 which seems to throw some light on the problem. On the approach of the Delhi forces Kashlu left his son Muhammud in Multan and himself retired to the Punjab to 'bring that country under his control.'
