v3.c29.69
‘Alī ‘Ādil Shāh consoled himself for his defeat by capturing Adonī and annexing many other districts of the former kingdom of Vijayanagar, and Murtazā, alarmed by the increase of his rival’s power and by an alliance which he had formed with Golconda, assumed a menacing attitude and advanced towards his frontier. ‘Alī marched to meet him, but Chingīz Khān and Shāh Abu-’l-Hasan averted hostilities and concluded a treaty which permitted Ahmadnagar to annex Berar and Bīdar and Bījāpur to annex in the Carnatic the equivalent of those two kingdoms.
