This shows the latter’s gratitutde and his desire to cement the friendship between the Emperor and himself. With the aid of Vijayanagara, he “brought back the Pandya kingdom to its pristine glory”. On account of that, in the Pudukkottai Plates of Srivalabha and Varatungarama Pandya, he is given the title of “Pandya-rajyasthapanacharya” that is ‘establisher of the kingdom of Pandya’ ¹.
