Some days later the Emperor summoned both the Pandya and Visvanatha before him. He asked the Pandya whether, as he had no heir to succeed him, he still adhered to the agreement by which he gave the kingdom over to Visvanatha. Chandra Sekhara Pandya replied that he had absolutely no objection to it; whereupon the Emperor informed Visvanatha that he would appoint him the Viceroy of the Pandya country.
