4. One of the most transcendental acts of Kumara Kampana in the South was the restoration of the Pandya monarchs. He made inquiries concerning persons of their race and their respective rights. The result of these inquiries was the coronation of Soma Sekhara Pandya as the Pandya sovereign. The Supplementary MSS. mention fourteen of his successors until the conquest of Visvanatha Nayaka¹.
