v1.c8.s13.4

∗ Khush-hal Chand, 392 *a*, says that his father, Jiwan Ram, was then a clerk in the Khan-saman's (Lord Steward's) office. In one week jewels, worth three *krors* and fifty *lakhs* of Rupees, were distributed, among them a pot (*matka*) of jasper studded with jewels, said to have belonged to Bhim, brother of Rajah Judishtar (Yudhisthira) and Arjun! It was 11 Shahjahani *dira* (yards ?) long and 7 *dira* wide! Although the dimensions are so precisely stated, I need hardly say that they should be taken *cum grano*.
