La Collection Mackenzie en contenait un abrégé sous le titre de Laghu Buddha Purâṇa; Wilson, dans le Catalogue de cette collection, le décrit ainsi: « A Summary of the contents of the Lalita Vistara, a Purâṇa containing the history of Buddha; the original was brought from Nepal by Captain Knox; the abridgment was made by a Pandit in Mr. Colebrooke's service. » (The Mackenzie Collection, a descriptive Catalogue, 2e éd.
