v1.c15.110

The plain southward of Fīrozābād continues to widen between the river and the hills, and is strewn over with still more ancient ruins. To the west of these, at the foot of the hills, and in part upon them, is the site chosen for the new imperial capital of British India. Finally, eleven miles south of Delhi are the buildings of the Kutb Minār, where are some of the few remains of the early Hindu period.
