v1.c15.199
The Muṇḍā languages are scattered far and wide. They are found not only in the Santāl Parganas and Chotā Nāgpur, but also in the Mahādeo Hills of the Central Provinces, and in the northern districts of the Madras Presidency; and they form the basis of a number of mixed languages which make a chain along the Himālayan fringe from the Punjab to Bengal.
