⁹ Maratha history is not concerned with the subsequent life of the Begam. She settled at Jammu and had little scope for interfering in politics. She died in 1779. Her life is fully recorded in Persian by her personal servant Miskin (one copy in the possession of Sir J. N. Sarkar), which supplies personal information on the political intrigues of the north west.
