Balajirao had two wives Gopikabai and Radhabai. By the former he had three sons Vishwasrao, who died at Panipat, Madhavrao who succeeded him, and Narayanrao who succeeded Madhavrao came to be murdered. Sadashivrao's wife Parvatibai returned safe from the battlefield of Panipat and died on 16th August 1783.
