¹ Vithal Sundar Parashurami, a clever diplomat brought up by Ramdaspant during the early rule of Salabat Jang identified himself with the fortunes of Nizam Ali and was rewarded by him with the title of Raja Pratapwant. He was a Deshastha Brahman of the same caste as Sakharam Bapu, and for a time played an important part in the fortunes of Haidarabad.
