∗ Bhimsen (124a) says that the commander-in-chief entered by opening the Shaitan-dari, which had been bricked up: then he met and congratulated Dalpat Rao, and the two entered Kalakot together. I think that this is a mistake for the Vellore gate, because Ram Singh was posted opposite the Shaitan-dari, while Zulfiqar's post was a mile north-east of it, near the northern or Vellore gate.
