In the course of the southern expedition, on his way from the Pāṇḍya country to Kāndaḷūr, Rājādhirāja is said to have attacked the king of Vēṇāḍ whom he 'sent to heaven,' and broken the strength of the king of the Kūpakas, a local chieftain of south Travancore.¹⁴⁸
