Fig. 19. Kampaharēśvarasvāmi temple, north-west view, Tribhuvanam, Tanjore District. It is another of the last great temples of the Cōḷa period. Its plan and elevation are on the model of the temple at Tanjore. But here the repetition of the ground tier above it, is absent. The mouldings, the pillars, cornice and the arrangement and decoration of the miniature shrines above show further development.
