Fig. 56. (Ibid.) Harihara, in a niche in the same temple. The figure stands in the *samabhanga* pose. Śiva's *paraśu* and his *jaṭāmakuṭa* are seen on the right side of the figure. Viṣṇu's conch and *kirīṭamakuṭa* are on the left side. The treatment of this figure appears to be a little stiff, unusual in the sculptures of this period. On the contrary the indistinct bas-relief sculptures on the base are fine.
