The other Kāvyas presupposed by Patañjali must have all been produced in this period : we have thus a good number of Ākhyānas and Ākhyāyikās on the stories of Yayāti, Yavakrita, Priyaṅgu, Sumanottarā, Bhīmaratha, Vāsavadattā and the Daivāsura and Rākshosura on the wars of the Devas and the Asuras (IV. ii. 60; IV. iii. 87-8).
