Sundara Pāndya's conquests included the Magadai (Bāna) and Kongu countries which must have been taken during the wars against the Hoysalas and Kōpperunjinga. Finally, he led an expedition further north in which he killed Gandagopāla in battle and occupied Kānchi. He also came into conflict with Kākatīya Ganapati and his other feudatories, defeated a Telugu army at Mudugūr (Nellore district) and drove a Bāṇa chief into exile. At the end of the campaign he performed a vīrābhisheka at Nellore.
