Ganapati's daughter Rudrāmbā was his successor. The early years of her reign were marked by troubles created by Kōpperunjinga and other rebellious feudatories, but these were firmly suppressed by the loyal Kāyastha chieftain Ambadeva. Yādava Mahādeva invaded Rudrāmbā's kingdom with results already noted. The hostility of the Yādavas continued after Mahādeva's reign, and the young prince Pratāparudradeva, grandson of Rudrāmbā, won his spurs as a warrior in these conflicts. He was made yuvarāja about 1280, and when, eight years later, Ambadeva rebelled and got support from the Hoysalas and Yādavas, the yuvarāja succeeded in suppressing the revolt by about 1291.
