³ Nasik 19; edited afresh by E. Senart, *Ep. Ind.* VIII, 1905-6, p. 90 no. 18. The material words are Damtāmitiyakasa (Datāmitiyakasa Senart) Yonakasa Dhammadevaputasa Indagnidatasa (Idragnidatasa Senart) ‘Of Indragnidatta son of Dhammadeva, a Yonaka of Demetrias’. He called his son Dhammarakshita, the name of the Yona missionary sent by Asoka in the third century to Aparānta (which would include Nasik); he knew enough current Greek to call himself Yonaka, and Demetrias in Patalene still kept its Greek name. As Yonaka was still in use *c.* 50 B.C. (p. 340), while Demetrias had gone out of use in the Roman period, the date ought to lie somewhere between *c.* 50 and *c.* 30 B.C.
