³ Strabo XV, 693, ἐκτραπομένου (the Indus) εἰς τὸ ἕτερον ἐν ἀριστέρᾳ κοιλό-τερον πολύ. The definite article shows that two channels were well known. Jacoby in *F. Gr. Hist.* no. 139 fr. 35 prints a bad conjecture, τι for τό.
